Psychosocial safety is a workplace risk issue for legal practices and the businesses they advise.
Worry Safe™ makes the practical side of managing that risk much easier.
Give partners, practice managers and people leaders a clear process for identifying issues, involving staff, taking action and reviewing what changes.
Know what needs attention.
Know what happens next.
Keep the process moving.
When a client understands their legal obligations but needs help putting them into practice, Worry Safe™ gives them a structured process they can actually use.
Help clients move from legal advice to practical action, without needing to build their own process from scratch.
Worry Safe™ does not replace legal advice. It gives businesses a practical system for managing the workplace process that follows.
You provide the legal guidance. Worry Safe™ helps the client turn that guidance into structured, ongoing action.
Deadlines, professional responsibility, adversarial work, demanding clients and exposure to difficult subject matter can create a distinctive risk profile for legal practices. Several hazards can also occur at the same time.
Heavy caseloads, urgent deadlines, long hours, competing matters and last-minute changes can create high job demands alongside low job control. For junior lawyers in particular, responsibility can be high while control over timing, priorities and how work is completed remains limited.

Some areas of law can involve exposure to traumatic events or content, including criminal evidence, family violence matters, child protection and client accounts of trauma or abuse. For practices working regularly with this material, repeated exposure can contribute to vicarious trauma or compassion fatigue.

Low role clarity can emerge when lawyers are managing multiple clients, competing deadlines or shifting priorities without a clear understanding of what takes precedence. Highly hierarchical or competitive environments can also contribute to poor workplace relationships, including harsh feedback, public criticism or bullying behaviours.

Across Australia, psychological health forms part of workplace health and safety obligations.
The exact WHS or OHS framework varies between jurisdictions, but the practical work centres on identifying psychosocial hazards, consulting workers, managing risks and reviewing whether controls are working. Victoria operates under its own OHS framework, while the other Australian jurisdictions have implemented versions of the model WHS laws.
Victoria's Psychological Health Regulations and Compliance Code have been in effect since 1 December 2025. In New South Wales, from 1 July 2026, approved Codes of Practice became minimum performance standards that businesses must comply with, unless they use another method that provides an equivalent or higher standard of work health and safety.
Knowing the obligation matters.
Having a workable system for managing it is where many businesses get stuck.
Information can come from management, workers or changes in the workplace.
Worry Safe™ brings it into one guided process so the business can understand what has been identified, decide what needs to happen and keep the response moving.
What staff are experiencing

Changes that may affect risk
Understand what has been identified and decide the next action.
Understand who could be harmed and the level of risk.
Choose controls and turn them into clear actions.
Check whether the controls are working and update them when needed.
Worry Safe™ goes beyond identifying an issue. It helps the business understand what needs attention, consider practical controls, involve the right people, manage follow-up and review whether the response is working.
Management assessments and worker consultation check-ins help identify psychosocial hazards and bring emerging issues into view before they become harder to manage.
Worry Safe™ helps businesses consider controls that address the work, systems or conditions creating the risk, so action focuses on the source of the problem rather than only its consequences.
Hazards, decisions, consultation, actions and reviews stay connected, creating a clear record of what the business identified, what it decided to do and what happened next.

We understand the practical pressure on SMEs because we run businesses ourselves.
Worry Safe™ is being built to make a complex obligation easier to understand, easier to act on and easier to keep on top of.
Worry Safe™ helps legal practices manage their own psychosocial risk while giving them a practical solution to recommend when business clients need help putting legal advice into action.
Legal practices can be exposed to high job demands, low job control, low role clarity, poor workplace relationships and exposure to traumatic events or content. The exact risks depend on the practice area, role and workplace. Hazards can also interact. For example, sustained high workloads can become more harmful when employees also have little control over deadlines or poor support.
Legal practices have duties under the WHS or OHS laws that apply in their jurisdiction. The exact requirements vary, but psychosocial risk management generally involves identifying workplace hazards, consulting workers, managing risks and reviewing controls. Businesses should consider the specific legislation, regulations and codes that apply in their state or territory.
Most Australian jurisdictions operate under laws based on the model WHS framework, although individual jurisdictions can make their own variations. Victoria has a separate OHS framework and specific Psychological Health Regulations. Worry Safe™ supports the practical psychosocial risk-management process. Legal advice remains important where a business needs guidance about its particular jurisdiction or circumstances.
No. Worry Safe™ is a psychosocial risk-management platform, not a legal advice service. It helps businesses carry out and document the practical work involved in managing psychosocial risk. Not on its own. EAPs, counselling and wellbeing initiatives can support employees, but employers still need to manage psychosocial hazards arising from the work itself. That includes identifying risks, consulting workers, putting appropriate controls in place and reviewing whether those controls are working
Yes. Worry Safe™ is designed to give SMEs a practical way to manage psychosocial risk once they understand their obligations. It can sit alongside legal advice by helping the client run the ongoing workplace process, from identifying hazards and consulting staff through to controls, actions and review.
No. Worry Safe™ is designed to identify and manage psychosocial hazards and risks. Its worker consultation check-ins are group-based prevention tools that help businesses understand workplace conditions before harm occurs. They are not an individual incident reporting, whistleblower or investigation channel.Incident reporting and formal complaint processes remain separate workplace processes.
Yes. Worry Safe™ is designed to connect the major steps of the psychosocial risk-management process, creating a clearer record of hazards identified, decisions made, consultation, actions and reviews. This makes it easier for the business to understand what has happened and show how it has responded.
