What are the new psychosocial regulations?
Australian states and territories have introduced psychological health regulations that require employers to protect workers from psychosocial hazards. These are enforceable laws that apply to all businesses with employees, contractors, labour-hire, volunteers and others that work in your business.
What is a psychosocial hazard?
A psychosocial hazard is any factor at work that could cause psychological harm to your workers. Examples include excessive job demands, low role clarity, poor support, bullying, and poor change management.
What happens if I do not comply?
Non-compliance can lead to enforcement action, fines, increased injury claims, higher insurance costs and damage to staff wellbeing and culture.
Will staff be anonymous when raising concerns?
